Sustainability at ForMóbile
As the leading event for the furniture industry in Latin America, ForMóbile reaffirms its commitment to sustainability. For us, balancing environmental awareness, social equity, and economic viability is more than a goal; it is our responsibility to the future.
We recognize the logistical and carbon emission challenges of the sector, but we see them as drivers of innovation. We focus on energy efficiency, sustainable raw materials, and the development of human-centered technologies. ForMóbile is the ultimate platform to transform these challenges into real practices, uniting the industry in a collective movement for a sustainable future. Join us in this transformation.
As part of our commitment, we are focused on three pillars of sustainability:
Reduction of printed materials, which are FSC certified;
Interactive map available on the ForMóbile Xperience Platform, replacing the printed pocket map;
Use of LED lamps in the Informa pavilion and spaces and optimization of the use of air conditioning to reduce energy consumption;
Selective collection and environmentally correct disposal of all waste generated at the event;
Service Areas (Exhibitor Service, Accreditation and VIP Club) assembled with modular and reused structures;
Use of carpet made from recycled PET and PP, with part of it reused from previous events. After the event, the carpet will be reused in future events or recycled and transformed into new products;
Inclusive dining options, with vegetarian and vegan alternatives available at the event's restaurants and snack bars.
A place provided for the conscious disposal of credentials at the exits that will be reused in future events.
Hiring People with Disabilities (PWD) in partnership with the PAE program (Efficient Attendant Program);
Wellness Space: Designed to enhance visitors' well-being during the event. This space includes:
- Charging Station for Your Phone: A dedicated area to recharge your phone for free;
- Coworking Area;
- Hydration Point.
Inclusive Dining: Our food court offers a variety of dishes and meals, including vegetarian and vegan options. We also provide a range of price options to cater to the diverse needs of visitors and exhibitors.

Help improve ForMóbile’s sustainability
As a visitor
Consider how you will get to the event and whether you can avoid air travel or use transport with a low carbon footprint, such as public transport, free transfers or carpooling;
Recycle your waste on site and at your hotel, whenever possible;
Consider opting for vegetarian and vegan food options and avoid food waste;
Only take gifts or leaflets that you need and will use, consider whether there are digital alternatives;

As an exhibitor
- Make sure that your stand can be reused by your company or by your contracted assembler (Better Stands Program);
Think about the waste your stand will generate and try to minimize it as much as possible. Ensure that unavoidable waste is recycled;
Select LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment for your stand and be sure to turn off your equipment at the end of the day;
Optimize your travels by consolidating your shipments and choosing logistics companies with strong sustainability credentials;
Reduce paper distributions by going digital and source sustainably certified paper where printing is needed;
- Get involved in the numerous initiatives and conversations throughout the event that aim to help facilitate and inspire sustainable development in your sector;
- Inspire sustainable development in your sector by promoting your company and the sustainability credentials of your products and services.

Better Stands: Moving Together Towards Reusable Stands
Created in 2019 by Informa, the organizer of ForMóbile, Better Stands is a global program aimed at eliminating waste generated by stands.
To achieve this, we encourage exhibitors and builders to replace single-use disposable stands with reusable ones, significantly reducing environmental impact.

Disposable stands account for more than 60% of the waste produced at events, causing significant environmental issues. Better Stands was created to address this problem, striving to transform events into examples of sustainability and safety.
